), is a commune in the Finistère department of Brittany in north-western France.

It is located at the mouth of the Pouldavid River, an estuary on the southern shore of Douarnenez Bay in the Atlantic Ocean, 25 kilometres (16 mi) north-west of Quimper. It has declined since the mid-20th century because of jobs lost from declines in the fishing industry.

Douarnenez owes much of its prosperity and expansion to the construction of railways at the end of the 19th century, which provided services for passengers and goods, connecting the port to other markets. From the railway station at the centre of Tréboul, the SNCF operated a service to Quimper. In the mid-20th century, many former passengers had shifted to privately owned vehicles and passenger trains were discontinued in 1972.
