Update #1: Got dashboard Update #2: Update xbox live(failure) simple fix to this problem is to reformat your xbox 360 hard drive, that worked for me.
how i did it :- transferred all important data on to a portable hard drive, formatted the 360's hard drive, copied the data back onto 360's hard drive.
hint :- if your portable hard drive has data already on it you have to make sure that there is enough space to copy what you want to keep as the 360 automatically save's a percentage of the space for gameplay or other 360 related things.
The Xbox 360 system software or the Xbox 360 Dashboard is the updateable software and operating system for the Xbox 360.
It resides on a 16 MB file system and has access to a maximum of 32 MB of the system's memory.
The updates can be downloaded from the Xbox Live service directly to the Xbox 360 and subsequently installed.
Microsoft has also provided the ability to download system software updates from their respective official Xbox website to their PCs and then storage media, from which the update can be installed to the system.
The Xbox 360 game system allows users to download applications that add to the functionality of the dashboard.
It should work then..luck.i figured out a solution, sign and try to dl it, if it doesnt work, turn off auto sign in, then turn off the xbox.
then turn it on, and manually sign in then when the update popup comes select to download it and wah laa it should start downloading.
If you're experiencing Xbox LIVE service issues, it's because the old build (2.0.0XX) is conflicting with most entries in the service database.
