Unfortunately, I've only found one site which actually discusses the issue I'm having but no solution was found (
The rest of the threads and sites pertain to issues that I'm not experience.
If it asks you to update just the Amazon app, go ahead and do that. Amazon Instant Video will no longer be available on your 2011 television after September 14, 2015.
You can download Android 5.1.1 Lollipop-based ROM for the Galaxy S6 (SM-G920F) from here, and you can keep a tab on the latest firmwares from our firmware section.
I'm having the same exact issue, but I've already done the most recent firmware update (002003). Tried again just now and it is doing the same thing.
Also, before calling Samsung, I tried to mirror the tv IP settings to reflect those of my laptop or other devices which connect to my wireless network just fine, but this did not work either.
Finally, they wanted to try resetting the tv back to factory settings.
So this morning, I went to the support link for Samsung. I live chatted with a support person from Samsung and they had me change the DNS settings, as others have mentioned above. However, I had ALREADY done the complete firmware update last night (updated to 002003) so if you haven't done the firmware update yet, this may not work for you ( you might want to try either way). If you're in USA, select United Kingdom, so it's still in English. I called Samsung tech support and they remotely uninstalled the app and then reinstalled it. They will tell you what to do and it was easy and fast. I hope this helps because I wasn't getting anywhere with the stupid " website.
I've forwarded your brilliant solution on to the good people at Amazon's Help Desk in hopes they'll add it to their 'Issues with Samsung Firmware Update' help page (which should be linked from the page you mention, but isn't - I could only find it on Google at this time) since it contains info that is unhelpful to say the least! It is just the Amazon app, and when I go to open it, it just says 'updating.' I saw on another thread to try to do the 'Alternate Sortware Update,' but that's not an option either, just keeps saying I have the most recent firmware update. Go into settings and whatever section shows "setup" then click on that. This time I just unplugged the TV for a minute and BAMN it worked as it should :-) Just call them and they can update the Amazon instant video by remote.
When I go thru Network Settings to re-set up the wireless network, it will search for networks and will only display my network (none of the other wifi networks nearby like it used to) for about 1 second and then the entire menu disappears.
2days ago I called Samsung support who confirmed my firmware is the latest version (version 001056), they had me try manually entering DNS to 22.214.171.124 or 126.96.36.199 but this did not solve anything as many other threads have said this resolves connection issues.
Scroll down to DNS Setting and hit button until you can change it to : Enter Manually 7.
If it asks you to update just the Amazon app, go ahead and do that.
Yesterday, we reported that the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop-based firmware for the Galaxy S6 (SM-G920F) was rolling out in France, but we have that firmware on our servers now. The SM-G920F is an unlocked variant, so if you are from Europe, and were waiting to see Android 5.1.1 running on your Galaxy S6, you can flash this ROM directly.
